Noise lawsuits

There used to be residential neighborhoods right up to the property line, on the north side. After a lawsuit, in (I believe) the 1960s or 1970s, the houses were bought up and the homes razed, forming a noise buffer zone. It looks bizarre to see the remaining streets, sidewalks, trees, and streetlamps with no homes! Maybe it is still that way; I haven't flown out of LAX since 1992, though. Hi

I screwed up when editing those two sections. Anything to fix that?

phonetic sounding of initials

when we say that it is LAX, pronounced ELL 'AY 'EX, 'could' there be some parenthetical thingy that says the bleeding obvious to the obviously thuck as a bruck, where it is is explained ? Not as in laxitive, as in L A X. d'dur .....

I feel like the section in the article is pretty clear that it doesn't stand for anything. They needed another letter to fill out a three-letter abbreviation. Probably used it because it could serve as a placeholder in a formula. --Jfruh (talk) 01:09, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
